Description

After embedding in molten paraffin, the molds are set on a cold plate to solidify. Note excess paraffin dripping from the edges of some of the molds.

The plastic cassettes that were used to hold the tissue during overnight processing are now called upon to serve as rigid holders by which the blocs will be mouned on the microtome for sectioning.
