Summary

[edit]
Description
Eesti: Tegemist on mõõtetulemusega füüsikalise optika valdkonda kuuluvas eksperimendis, kus uuritakse optilise süsteemi nihkeid, mis on tingitud temperatuuri muutusest. Kujutis on jäädvustatud ilma objektiivita Firefly kaameraga, kusjuures kujutamiseks on kasutatud f=25,4mm läätse. Fotol paistab optilise fiibrikimbu ots (50000 paralleelset fiibrit 24 mikromeetrise sammuga), mille teine ots on paigutatud kergelt fokusseeritud laserkiirde. Kujutise muudab tähelepanuväärseks keskset laserkiir ümbritsev hajuva valguse speklimüra ja sellest näiliselt lähtuvad vihud - ühes tekitades kolmemõõtmelisuse illusiooni.
English: This is an experimental result from the field of physical optics. The goal of this particular research is to determine the shifts and aberrations seen in an optical system due to temperature changes. The image has been captured using a Firefly camera (with no objective) and a regular f=25,4mm lens. One can see the tip of a fiber conduit (50000 parallel optical fibers encased in the same coating with 24 micron separation). The far end of the conduit has been placed in to a slightly converging laser beam. One can notice, how the glaring speckle noise surrounding the central laser beam forms an illusion of a 3-dimensional system.
English: Tip of a fiber conduit.
