Summary
[edit]DescriptionTiny Clay Nest (16413905242).jpg |
Els Poblets, Alicante, Spain. These look a lot like sphecid nests, but they are tiny, about 5 mm long. There were lots of them on some dead cypress trees. Update: Thanks to [/photos/joaquimfp/ Joaquim F. P.] for pointing out that these are the egg cases of an issid plant hopper, probably in the genus Hysteropterum or Agalmatium. Now I really want to see how they make these. Unfortunately, I'm rarely there in the summer. |
