English: Tiger I tank. On display at Saumur Général Estienne museum. This Tiger was part of the 2nd company of the SS Heavy Panzer Battalion 102, fought in the Cauville sector, and was abandonned by its crew after a mechanical breakdown. It was captured by French troops, renamed Colmar, and recommissioned with the 2nd squadron of the 6th Cuirassier Regiment, fighting its way all back to Germany. |
