| Description |
Trekking 3 days from Tsurpu Monastery to Yangpachen Monastery. The pretty Dorje Ling Nunnery. If you trekking, you can apparantly stay the night at Dorje Ling or camp in the meadows nearby although we didn't. It is only a 3-4 flat hours to Yangpachen from here so depending on when you reach the Nunnery, you can shorten the trek from 4 days to 3. There is no bridge across the swampy, braided river between you and the nunnery. It can be challenging to cross in the spring when the water is high. The locals may be able to show a meandering path across. If not, you will have to swing around the valley to reach the north side of the Dorje Ling Valley. This longer route is reported to require at least an hour longer of hiking. |
