Description

Trekking 4 days from Ganden Monastery to Samye Monastery.

Overnight on day 3 we got some more serious snowfall awaking to several inches and a beautiful winter-like landscape. A bit of an adventure waking up to the rainfly of the tent pressing down weighted and heavy needing to be knocked off of its icy load every hour or so.

We decided to stay put and take our spare rest-day rather than try to slip and slide and slog down the valley in the conditions. The sun came back out, we got a visit from some curious nomads, we caught up on our journals and books. Not so bad spending a day hanging around the quiet mountains.
