Deutsch: Warmwalzwerke Hoesch Hohenlimburg GmbH mit den Betrieben in Oege an der Oeger Straße zwischen Lenne und Ruhr-Sieg-Strecke. Postkarte um 1980. Gegründet 1846 als Limburger Fabrik- und Hüttenverein im Langenkamp. Diese ging auf eine 1619 gegründete Drahtrolle des Richters Wessel Lappenberg zurück. 1803 übernahm Gottfried Wilhelm Böing und gründete ein Hammerwerk mit Grob- und Feindrahtrolle im Langenkamp. Später Böing, Röhr und Sefsky. Nach der Umstellung 1846 in ein Puddelstahlwerk hieß die Firma ab 1856 Limburger Fabrik- und Hüttenverein. Ab 1906 wurde die Firma (500 Beschäftigte) vom Langenkamp auf das große neuerworbene Gelände in Neu-Oege verlagert. Im Jahre 1907 folgte der Zusammenschluss mit den Eisen- und Stahlwerken Hoesch in Dortmund. Im Juli 2016 erfolgte die Umfirmierung in thyssenkrupp Hohenlimburg GmbH. |
