Français : Diagnostic original : Goitre nodulaire simple. Diagnostic actualisé : Goître nodulaire. Histoire : Femme de 72 ans décédées avec une thrombose des artères carotidiennes primitive et interne et de l'artère sylvienne gauches. Description macroscopie : La glande thyroïde est très tuméfiée et présente des diamètres de 15 X 10 X 9 cm. Les contours sont très irréguliers, bosselés et, à la coupe, il y a de nombreux foyers de calcification avec un dessin nodulaire. La carotide primitive gauche est très déviée par suite de ce goître volumineux. La lumière carotidienne est oblitérée par un thrombus d'environ 8 cm de longueur, originant à l'embouchure aortique. La trachée est déviée par le goître. Description microscopie : La glande thyroïde est multinodulaire et constituée de tissu thyroïdien en partie microkystique. Année du prélèvement : 1954.
