[edit]DescriptionThrongs on Britannia Pier, hand-coloured postcard, City of Ottawa Archives, 1908.jpg |
English: This photo is exemplary of an early-stage version of the golden age of hand-colouring of photographs in the western hemisphere that occurred between 1900 and 1940. The availability of colour film stopped the production of hand-coloured photographs.
Britannia Village was previously know as Britannia-on-the-Bay and Britannia Bay. Note the spelling mistake on the postcard (Brittania). |
