| Description |
English: Three gates in one A gateway on the bridleway above Gatten Plantation, consisting of a cattle grid (with escape ramp for hedgehogs, I was pleased to see), a vehicle gate and a horse-friendly gate. The land above this track was cleared of its larch plantation some 9 or 10 years ago by English Nature, as part of the Stiperstones 'Back to Purple' project, at which time heather seeds were sown widely across the land. This seems to have worked quite well, as there is now regenerating heather moorland across the whole former plantation. |
