Description
English: Beham, (Hans) Sebald (1500-1550): Three Soldiers and a Dog. Engraving, ca 1540. B.196, P.199. 1 7/8 X 1 1/4 inches, i/ii, before the dots to the right near the clouds. A very fine early impression, printed strongly with all the details clear. Very good condition, trimmed on the plate mark but outside the borderline, remains of prior hinging verso, tiny hairline in image (not prominent). First state of two.
