Русский: Самый знаменитый генеральский пес американской армии периода Второй мировой войны — бультерьер генерала Джорджа Паттона по имени Вильгельм Завоеватель, сокращенно - Вилли. Надо сказать, что хозяин и пес отлично подходили друг к другу (не удивительно - ну какую еще собаку можно представить рядом с Паттоном?). Художник-карикатурист Билл Молдин из газеты "Звезды и Полосы", посетив Паттона в его штабе, так описывал увиденное: "Рядом с ним [Паттоном] в большом кресле лежал Вилли, бультерьер. Если когда нибудь и существовала собака, идеально подходившая своему хозяину - то это был тот самый случай. У Вилли был точно такой же вид, как и у его любимого босса, не хватало только лент и звезд. Я замер в дверях, уставившись в две пары самых жестких глаз, какие я когда либо видел".
