Description
English: Three U.S. Navy Douglas AD-5N Skyraider (BuNo 132535, 132588, 132615) of All-Weather Attack Squadron 33 (VA(AW)-33) Det.K "Night Hecklers" in flight, in 1958. VA(AW)-33, Det.K was assigned to Air Task Group 4 (ATG-4) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVA-12) for a deployment to Western Pacific from 2 January to 2 July 1958.
  • 132535 was transferred to the U.S. Air Force in October 1964 and was assigned 4407th Combat Crew Training Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida (USA). It crashed on 24 June 1965 after a collision with A-1G 132644. Both crewmen were killed.
  • 132588 was transferred to the U.S. Air Force in November 1964 and was assigned to the 1st Air Commando Squadron in Vietnam. It suffered an engine failure over South Vietnam and collided with another unknown aircraft in midair on 8 September 1966. The pilot bailed out and was rescued. The pilot of other the aircraft landed safely.
  • 132615 was also transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1964.
