Description
English: U.S. Air Force honor guard members from RAF Mildenhall, England, present the colors at the Thorney Dyke 40th Anniversary Aug. 30, 2016, in Thorney, England. A C-141 Starlifter from the 438th Military Airlift Wing, McGuire Air Force Base crashed Aug. 28, 1976, at this location during a severe thunderstorm in route to RAF Mildenhall, England. All 14 crew members and four passengers lost their lives that day. The site has been memorialized by local residents and council members.
