Description
English: Reverend Thomas Nettleship Staley, the first Anglican bishop of Honolulu. Circa 1862. Albumen print photograph, carte de visite format, 100 x 61 mm, recto with contemporary inscription in pencil to mount beneath image: Bp. Honolulu, verso with studio imprint of Hills & Saunders, 16 Corn Market Street, Oxford, 11 Worcester Place, Eton, 108 & 109 High Street. A very strong, clear print of a fine, vignetted portrait.
