English: Heraldic shield declaring the Katzenelnbogen ancestry of w:Marie of Baden-Sponheim (1507-1580), a daughter of Philip I, Margrave of Baden (1479–1533) and Countess Elisabeth (1483–1522), daughter of Philip, Elector Palatine and princess Margarete von Bayern-Landshut. She married William IV, Duke of Bavaria (1493–1550). Her paternal grandmother was w:Ottilie of Katzenelnbogen (1451-1517), grand-daughter of w:Philipp I, Count of Katzenelnbogen (1402–1479).
