Description
English: This way to Cromer For a view in the opposite direction see > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1084694 West Runton railway station has won several awards for best small and best unstaffed station > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1084700. The concrete station name sign > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1084687 is a product of the M&GN works at Melton Constable and is one of only a few (perhaps the only one) still in existence. (Many thanks to Ashley Dace > https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/29497 for supplying this interesting information.)

William Marriott of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway manufactured ferro-concrete fence posts, and from 1915 signal posts, at Melton Constable. During WW1 he was asked by the Government to develop building blocks for postwar housing. http://www.steamindex.com/people/marriott.htm
