Description
English: This snapper is laying her eggs on the gravel road. After the eggs have been laid and the dirt patted over them the mama snapping turtle returns to the river and lets the heat of the sun hatch the eggs. Many of the "nests" are dug up by raccoons who love to eat the eggs.
