FAIR OAKS, October 27, 1864.Tracing of Official Map. Shortly after dark, Gen. Weitzel began to withdraw to the CharlesCity road, the rain, darkness, mud and narrow road making the retreatvery fatiguing for the troojjs, who were marching all night. The lossesin the whole movement, by the 10th and 18th Corps in killed, woundedand missing, were about 1,100 men. The enemy met here, who hadjust arrived from Gen.
