Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Curzon Street, London, viewed from Half Moon Street The building in Curzon Streetwas built in 1910 by Lanchester & Rickards (known for their design of Central Hall, Westminster). The façade of the building is listed as of both architectural and historic interest and remains unaltered since an extra floor and tower were added in 1930. In 1980, Westminster City Council approved a sympathetic design by architect Graham Herbert of Graham Herbert Associates for the redevelopment of the property.

The original auditorium at the rear of the site was redeveloped as offices and apartments surrounding a courtyard. The façade was preserved together with the primary structure fronting Curzon Street and is retained by the Church for its own use.
