Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Theuerdank in peril of shipwreck; Theuerdank and Ernhold and three other companions on a small boat crossing a tumultuous lake or river. Big waves are lapping up against the boat, causing one of the companions to raise his hands in a gesture of desperation. The far shore mountainous, on the near shore Unfalo holding a letter on the right, to the left a town, whose size compared to the proportions within the rest of the image is so small that it resembles a miniature model. Illustration to Melchior Pfinzing, 'Theuerdank'. Woodcut
