Description	Deutsch: Farbminiaturen. Entstehung: im 10. Jahrhundert. Nikandros aus Kolophon war ein griechischer Arzt, Dichter und Grammatiker. Er lebte im zweiten Jahrhundert v. Chr. und verfasste zahlreiche Lehrgedichte, von denen heute nur noch zwei überliefert sind. Von den 48 Blättern, des Codex beinhalten 40 Miniaturen, die den Giften zugeordneten Behandlungen sowie deren Gegenmittel illustrieren. Dem früheren Gebrauch gemäß unterbrechen die Bilder ohne Rahmen und Zierrand den Text, in dem sich Beschreibungen von Tieren, Rezepte von Gegenmitteln auf der Grundlage von Pflanzen oder Mineralen sowie Abschweifungen, die auf mythologische Erzählungen anspielen, mischen. Faksimile + Kommentar.
