500px provided description: Every time I think about selling my 35mm Asahi f2.3 lens because I don't use it much, I come across another picture that makes want to keep it for as long as I can. Maybe even pay to get it serviced so the focus wheel gets nice and loose again.

Look at the two bottom corners in this photo. They are incredible sharp compared to the Helios 44m 58mm. On my crop sensor digital camera, the Helios performs admirably well, but on full frame it's weaknesses are shown. Not so with the Asahi 35mm.

The resolution, even in this low res jpeg comes through. The details, the out of focus areas, the colours and the sharpness are all fantastic.

And what else can be said about Kodak Ektar 100ASA film? It's so forgiving compared to digital, especially when dealing with highlights.

Don't get me wrong, I really really love shooting digital, but film has it's own properties that I appreciate. I'm looking forward to shooting more film. I just wish it didn't cost so much to do so.
