The Method of measuring the Works of Bricklayers, Joyners, Carpenters, Glaziers, Painters, Plasterers, and Plumbers. VI. The Art of measuring Solids, both regular and irregular. Vii. The Art of Guaging all kinds of Vessels. Viii. The practical and true Methods of Measuring Timber, Stone, &c. IX. The Manner of calculating Tables for measuring Timber, &c. X. The best Methods of taking the Dimensions of Timber, so as to avoid the gross Errors attending the common Practice. XI. The Art of measuring standing Timber. XII. The Manner of finding the Tonnage of Ships very accurately. XIII. The Method of measuring Sawyers Work. XIV. Of measuring Cases, &c. sent by Sea, and which pay Freight by the solid Foot. XV. The Method of measuring Cord-Wood, Marle-Pits, Hayricks, Statues, and other irregular Bodies. XVI. The Construction of the Plain Scale, and its various Uses in the Practical Branches of the Mathematics.
