Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe weir at Bonnington Linn - geograph.org.uk - 75432.jpg |
English: The weir at Bonnington Linn. This is the weir where water for the small Scottish Power (formerly South of Scotland Electricity Board)hydro station is drawn off. It can be seen that the Clyde is in such high spate that lots of surplus water is being 'dumped' over the weir, hence the excellent state of the linns (waterfalls) downstream. |
