| Description |
English: The valley of the Rhaeadr Ddu stream. It is likely that the name Rhaeadr Ddu (black waterfall) refers only to the waterfall whose presence can be inferred from the v-shaped dip in the hillside in the middle distance. The stream feeding the waterfall, one of the feeders of Afon Dulas below, drains the eastern half of this square, which is covered in heathery moorland. I encountered breeding grouse amongst the scrub here. The hill opposite is Foel Fadian 2845, the prominent hill in the far distance is Aran Fawddwy 270573. |
