English: The unfinished Dolymynach dam
Dolymynach Dam's base was completed at the same time as other dams in the Elan Valley as its foundations would become submerged beneath Caban Coch reservoir. The dam was left to be completed at some later date, but this never happened as it and two others proposed were replaced by the much larger Claerwen dam in due course. The low water level seen here in Caban Coch reservoir reveals all of the unfinished Dolymynach Dam. |
