Skilled labor is not necessary to operate themachine, and any man or boy who understands the handling ofbabbitt can pour the boxes as fast as the metal will cool. Thearbors arc so made that the oil-ways are formed when the metalis cast. Fig. .1 shows the device before the unbabbitted shell isput in. Fig. 2 shows the shell in place and the gate on top readyto receive the molten metal. It is named the Weld babbittingdevice, and is sold by the Ridlon company under letters patent. TESTING
