Black, St. Louis, had a model of an automatic fulcrum brake.The feature of this was a six-inch arm on the end of the sta£( towhich the chain was attached to take up the slack. The connectionat the other end was to a floating lever by which great leverage wasobtained at the finish. The Hale & Kilburn Manufacturing Company, Philadelphia,showed four walk-over seats, two with cane covering and two in plush,also one seat with side arms. The exhibit was attractively arrangedin a nicely carpeted space. H. T. Bigelow, Chicago, and C. E. Bar-rett, St. Louis, were the representatives present. The St. Louis Register Company had a conspicuous space at theeast end of the hall, and displayed a great variety of registers andoperating rods. Some had the Baumhoff attachment.
