Castle. General Manager Ballentyne contemplates a visit to the statesto invite tenders for structural material and equipment; he willluobably be here in December. The gross earnings of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Conqianyssystem have increased some 20 per cent within the last two years,basing the figures on the reports for the last quarter. The conditions in Englandare more favorable than in almost any other country for electriclines in and connecting cities. Not only are there many largecities, but the industrial centers are close together, affordinga most attractive field for interurban railways.
