ar is painted stone color. Thecar is elevated about 3 feet 3 inches from the track.The car is provided with draw bars, same as ordinarycars, in case it must be towed by other cars. The car is mounted on two pivotal trucks of specialconstruction, having two sets of equalizing springs overthe oil box, in addition to the springs that carry the carbody. This truck will greatly reduce the noise whilecrossing intersecting tracks, and make it an easy ridingcar. The furnishings and equipment, supplied by thehealth department, under the direction of Dr. Homan,consist of eighteen plain, folding chairs, twelve havingarms, and six without, all provided with rubber fenders,to prevent slipping, or defacement of woodwork. Severallitters or stretchers are carried stored in a locker, and inan inclosure under the car body.
