Tothe Mcintosh & Seymour engine willbe attached a single acting condenserbuilt by the Deane Steam Pump Com-pany, of Holyoke, Mass. The Greeneengine will be attached to a duplex-condenser, manufactured by Henry R.Worthington, of New York. The feedwater for the boilers will be suppliedby a triplex pump built by the GouldManufacturing Company,of New York,and a duplex steam pump built by theSmith-Vaile Company, of Dayton, O.These boiler feed pumps will be ar-ranged to take the water directly fromthe lake and the hot water wells of thecondensers as occasion demands. Theywill also be attached to a system of fireservice pipes running throughout thebuilding and car barns of the com-pany, located a short distance from thepower house, so that these pumps willnot only act as boiler feeders but willbe on hand for fire service at all times.

It will be noticed that the condensing machinery is allsteam driven and that each engine is provided with anindependent condenser. The valves for handling the con-densers and engines will be controlled by wheels locatednear the engines, so that the engineers can start themachiner) without changing their positions to any greatextent. In the boiler room will be located ten 300-horse-power Babcock & Wilcox water tube boilers, having atotal maximum capacity of 5,000 horse-power, as occa-sion demands. In the rear of these boilers will be builtbrick smoke flues, and on the outside of the building willbe placed two batteries of Greenes fuel economizersbuilt by the Fuel Economizer Company of Mattewan, N.Y.
