Slidingdoors are fitted at the ends of the cars, and patent swing gates areplaced on the platform.*. .^11 the rolling stock has been built at Birmingham and Man-chester by the Metropolitan Amalgamated Railway Carriage &Wagon Co., Ltd., under the immediate supervision of the railwaycompanys carriage and wagon superintendent, and the entire elec-trical equipment has been designed and installed by the British West-inghouse Co.
