Those to whom thesuccess of the Twin City company is due have always taken abroad view of conditions, and the courage with which they haveacted on their convictions has excited the admiration of all con-nected with the industry. The Twin City Rapid Transit Co. Is one of the few of the largersystems in this country in which there has not been a change inmanagement in recent years; Mr. Lowry, the president, and Mr.Goodrich, the vice-president, have been connected with the Twin operation the water power plant built to supply current to therailway, and a few weeks later seven 700-kw. generators were inservice. This water power plant, which was described in the Re-view for February, 1899, was designed for ten 700-kw. generators,and the intention was to abandon regular use of the two steamplants in Minneapolis.
