The committee of the House of Commons, which was appointedto consider the London County Councils tramway bill, by the pro-visions of which it was proposed to connect the Westminster andRlackfriars termini by electric tramways over the two bridges andalong the Victoria Embankment, last month gave its decision infavor of the scheme. The lines will form a loop and there will beno necessity for the confusion which has existed hitherto at thetermini, caused by switching the cars for the return journey.
