R. bv the General Electric Co. and .American Locomotive Workstook place at Schenectady, Nov. 12th, for the electric traction com-mission of the railroad company and its guests. .\ large party of railroad men and newspaper representatives were may therefore be easily adapted to weight of train with no complica-tion in operation and with uniform make-up of tram crew. .\single electric locomotive will be able to maintain the schedule witha 450 ton train, two locomotives being coupled together for heaviertrains. The locomotive developed remarkably easy riding qualitiesat high speeds and during acceleration, responding with ease to thewill of the operator. The locomotive consists of four driving axles on each of wluch ismounted without intermediate gearing, the armature of an electricmotor having a normal rating of 550 h. p. The total rated capacity
