There arc two sets of 2,300-voll bus bars, designated as the mainand auxiliary busses. The main bus is for regular operation whiletile auxiliary bus is for emergency operation, and for relaying theiiKiin bus ill case of repairs in the latter. Both sets of bus bars arc under emergency conditions. .Ml ordinary switchmg is done bymeans of the oil switches which simultaneously open and close thethree legs of the three phase circuit. In addition to the single ;ioledouble throw switches mounted on the operating panels, for openingand closing these switches, when cutting in or out a generator ortransformer bank, there is for each oil switch a clock type lime limitrelay actuated by secondary current from current transformers incircuit with that switch, these relays operating the motor connected
