For some rea-son or other the visitor, who was under the influence ofliquor, had a grievance against the target man, and askedfor his discharge. Shay, said he, are you shupertenant? Yes, sir, replied Mr. Rowe. I wantsh that target man bounced. He is a joint man employed by both companies, andI have no power to discharge him, said Mr. Rowe. Cantsh you reprimand him? No, hes a joint man and I cant even reprimand him. I shd think you could reprimand your half, said thekicker as he left the otfice.

ALL TWISIED OUT OF SHAPE. had got down into the pit, under a car, when the explo-sion came, and the roof of the car house fell on the fourcars beneath it. McDonald climbed hurriedly from inunder the car, which was crushed by the fallinig bricksand beams, receiving some slight injuries. The ruinscaught fire, which was soon extinguished by the firemenwho were early on the scene. A rescuing party dis-covered the engineer near a dynamo with an oil can inhis hand. He was unconscious, and his body was fright-fully burned and scalded. He survived only a shorttime. The illustrations give some idea of the destruc-tion that was caused. Mr. Rowe is still unilecided which half tu reprimandand wants advice. NEW ELECTRIC LINE IN DUBLIN. HAS COME AT LAST. Even the inoffensive Liuiiey car has not been sparedby the play writers.
