STANDARD STREET RAILWAY MAIL CAR. INTERIOR S1,\N1).\R1> .STREET RAILWAY MAIL C.VR. service. They were built by Brill and are mounted onPeckham trucks. The car body measures 20 feet overthe end panels, and is fitted on the inside with standard ^ttcd/ff^oiWay?^^ 7fi7 United States mail service pigeon holes, stamp tablesand assorting tables. It is finished entirely in hardwood and has monitor deck roof, decorated veneerceilings and a large sliding door at each end with 4-footopening. It is lighted with the Consolidated Car Heat-ing Companys Pope gas apparatus and Gold heaters.Unlike the Chicago postal cars they are devoted en-tirely to the mail service instead of being combinationcars.
