The Union Elevated Railroad Co. was incorporated in Novem-ber, 1894, by Mr. Yerkes and his associates for the purpose ofbuilding a down-town loop terminal for all the elevated roads inthe city. The Loop is a double track structure, 11,150 ft. long, withII stations. By a lease dated Oct. i, 1897, the road is granted to thsfour elevated railroads for their sole use
