The steam plant consists of six hor-izontal tubular boilers set in three sep-arate batteries, aggregating 900 horsepower, with connections for waterheater and Knowles, steam )nimp. Ihesteam piping is all laid under theengine room floor. The boiler houseis roomy, with large doorways openingon Gilmore street in front, and Parrishalley in the rear. Space has been leftfor an additional battery of boilers, ifit should be required hereafter. Spen-cers automatic dampers are attachedto each batterv. The stack is 125 feethigh. Thirt\- new cars are in service on theine. Fourteen are heav^- double truckcombination grip and passenger cars,with a seating capacitor of 34, similarto those now in use, while the othersare open grip cars, smokers and trail-ers, seating 28. They are run in trainsof grip car and three trailers and single grip and pass-enger cars, at intervals of about three minutes. Thecars are all painted a Tuscan red, with silver trimmings.
