been made at decoration other than the neat treatment ofthe ceiling and panels in buff, slightly figured. The out-side is also treated in buff and mahogany, giving a busi-nesslike effect to the whole car. Brass mountings set offthe platforms and give them a substantial look. Asstated, the car is built according to the usual specifi-cations of the Laclede Company, which is sufficient guar-antee of its strength and durability. There is not muchinterest displayed as yet in the exhibit tracks, but whenthe street railway men come, Lacledes car will have itsfull audience of discriminating spectators.
