The men all\v ore white outing caps and badges, and presented a fine appearance.Each day was voted a complete success by the excursionists, and allreturned to their homes at night fully appreciating the favor whichthe company had bestowed upon them. On the day following the last excursion to the beach the premiumswhich the company gives to its employes every six months for goodconduct and for avoiding accidents were distributed among the men.I !n sum of $15,000 was distributed at this time, and many of thefortunate ones were made glad hearted by reason of full pockets. The premium plan inaugurated by this company, which was de-scribed in detail in the Review for February, 1902, has provedto be very successful, and the number of accidents has been reducedduring the present year by a large percentage over that of former1 ears.
