r two years. Inthis period he met Miss Marion Mair, to whom he was married in 1895.They have one son, a boy, who bids fair to grow up as his father andbecome an extremely useful citizen. In 1894 he accepted a position asprincipal of the High School at West Salem, Wisconsin, which he heldfor six years, or until 1900, when he entered the University of Wiscon-sin, graduating in 1902 with the degree of Ph. B. His first positionafter graduation was as principal of the Greenwood, Wisconsin, HighSchool for the year 1902-3. Since 1903 Mr. Slothower has been con-nected with Lancaster High School as principal. During his connectionwith our school he has raised its standard of education and has givenhearty support to athletics. He has shown himself our friend as well asour teacher, and has won the esteem of all connected with the school.Mr. Slothower has also had considerable experience as a summer schoolteacher and has been an institute conductor for the state for the lastfew years. Duncalf was born at Lancaster, Wis., March 23, 1882.He attended the Lancaster public schools and graduated from the HighSchool in 1900. After graduation from the High School he enteredBeloit College, from which he graduated with the degree of B. A. in1904. He was engaged as assistant principal of Lancaster High Schoolfor the year 1904-5 and is instructor in History and Mathematics. BESSIE M. KILBOURN Bessie M. Kilbourn is a native of Wisconsm, but has spent the mostof her life in Nebraska. She graduated from the High School at Albion,Nebraska, in 1898, and from Doane College in 1903. The year followingher graduation from college was spent teaching in the High School atBlue Hill, Nebraska, after which, in the fall of 1904, she was engagedas instructor of English in Lancaster High School.
