English: The starting area, Brighton Racecourse. Brighton racecourse runs across the crest of the downs on the outskirts of Brighton. The first races were run in 1783 and the course has been in operation ever since. This view looks south with two people teeing off on East Brighton Golf Course to the left and the dip that leads down into Sheepcote valley to the right. Straight ahead is the sea. |
