Stevenage Road, at the south-east corner of Craven Cottage Stadium, Fulham.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: At this spot on 28 July 1986, a jogger emerging from Bishop's Park (to the left of the image) saw a car driving south erratically come to a halt on the road in front of him. A woman was in the car and she was seen struggling with the male driver, honking the horn for a long time in an apparent attempt to attract attention. The car was a left-hand BMW. The sighting is deemed significant as it was on the same day a woman, Suzy Lamplugh, disappeared from Fulham and was possibly abducted. Her own car was found abandoned further up this road, in the direction the camera is facing. The man driving the car is believed to have been John Cannan, a convicted murderer who was in the area at the time and who drove a left-hand BMW at that time. Lamplugh has never been found.
