Description
English: Illustration showing the ruined state of the second Salle Favart in Paris after the fire of 25 May 1887. Jean Gourret, the author of the 1983 book in which it is reproduced, remarks that it shows modifications made to the theatre since it was built in 1840, including the elevation of the roof and the enlargement of the foyer with a veranda attached to the colonnade.
