The following item from the Citizen, of Jack-son, Mich., is interesting because it shows themedium by which scarlet fever may be spread,and the result of a suit for damages claimed forloss of money and expense incurred while un-dergoing sickness: In February last, a member af the family ofLouis F. Mann, 730 West Main street, was af- ters illness Mrs. Winney was attacked withscarlatina, with which she was confined to herbed three weeks and was unable to attend toher washing, on which the family is largely de-pendent for a livelihood, for a period of threemore weeks. Mrs. Winneybrought suit for $100 damages to cover her ownand her daughters loss, and the case was triedby jury yesterday afternoon, in Justice Walkerscourt.
