English: The ruined 1911 mill on the lower tipping level Before 1911 slab from Moel Fferma was reduced at Nant y Pandy mill SJ1441because of the shortage of water power at the quarry. The saws at the new mill were worked initially by a gas powered engine and later by an oil fuelled electrical engine. The two upright concrete blocks (left)would have supported the oil engine. |
