| Description |
English: The remains of Wookey Hole open air swimming pool I spent many a happy day at this pool in my teens. The picture here shows the remnants of the children's pool and the central fountain. The wooden structure behind is the male changing rooms. The female changing rooms were in the foreground, and only the footings can now be seen.
The pool was and is part of the Wookey Hole Caves complex. It fell into disuse in the late 80s and has been boarded up and left to rot since then. The current owners of Wookey Hole Caves have applied for permission to build a 58 bed hotel on the site of the pool. |
